This morning we started right off with grammar. We reviewed subjects, predicates, subject nouns, simple subjects, simple predicates, complete subjects, complete predicates, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and articles. Next we progressed in Writer's Workshop. Two more children completed books today and are now illustrating. Lots of students finished up their Headmaster Hike write-ups and drawings. I will be editing and printing them out to hang at school. We completed the Root Word packet 10-14. You can find it at :

TOMORROW IS A LANGUAGE ARTS TEST. ROOT WORDS, GRAMMAR, AND READING QUESTIONS WILL BE A PART OF IT.
Math was a review of negative numbers and least common multiple. HOMEWORK IS REVIEW #1. MY MATH CLASS HAS CUM. TEST #1 TOMORROW.
This afternoon we learned our final chapter in mountains. Student found out about power, recreation, farming, minerals, moisture and more. We made small illustrations to decorate our bulletin board. We are also working on a Dinosaur National Monument mural and intrapersonal writing piece. WRITING PIECES ARE DUE BY WEDNESDAY - EDITED AND TYPED. They focus on one aspect of the trip and are written as if the audience has stepped into your brain for a short while. The pieces should be about 1 typed page in length.
