TOMORROW IS BOOT DAY. WEAR BOOTS TO GIVE DRUGS THE BOOT!
This morning we jumped straight into spelling sorts. Spelling tests will be Friday. STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE ALL OF CHAPTER ONE OF SUMMER OF THE MONKEYS READ BY TONIGHT.
Our school was privileged to have a doctor from Primary Children's Hospital give a seminar about Drug Abuse and Choices this morning. PLEASE TALK TO YOUR CHILD ABOUT STRESS OUTLETS, FRIENDSHIP ISSUES, AND SELF-ESTEEM.
In math we learned to bar model division problems. STUDENTS WENT HOME WITH A WORKSHEET TO PRACTICE DIVISION. Some students will be experimenting with a short cut. If they don't yet understand the shortcut, they are welcome to do it the long division method.
This afternoon we finished watching a movie about various Native American tribes. Students worked hard in their tribes to complete projects. THE NATIVE AMERICAN UNIT IS DUE MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH. Students may want to get together at home to work on their projects. They are VERY busy in class!
