This morning we wrote our own sixteen squared Sudoku puzzles to warm up. We worked on cursive "K". Next we made progress on our Headmaster Hike write-ups, moving to illustrations. Tomorrow we will do peer edit groups. My L.A. class did spelling tests, reading and Writer's Workshop. HOMEWORK WAS 30 MINUTES OF READING.
Math was more Order of Operations. We learned PEMDAS, or Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. We worked more expressions/equations on the board and introduced a card game. Tomorrow we will have an Order of Operations tournament. HOMEWORK WAS A SHEET (EXERCISE 1) FROM LEVEL 5.
After lunch students attended Dance, Art, Karate/Yoga, Technology, and Social Studies. In Social Studies we learned about mountain animals and their adaptations. HOMEWORK WAS TO FIND THREE ANIMALS THAT LIVE IN DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT, PRINT OR DRAW A PICTURE OF THEM, AND FIND OUT A FEW INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THEM.
Sorry to post so late. A single mom of 6 kids in our neighborhood broke her leg and needed help this evening.
